The Jack Russell Terrier was originated in Devon, England 🏴 in the mid 19th century. They were named after the Reverend John (Jack) Russell who bred and used them for pursuing fox both above and below the ground in the past.
The JRT is a small, lean, bold, smart, happy, loyal, energetic dog with a strong desire to work. They love to dig and hike, and can be an excellent agility dog as well as being family companion.
Did you know that the JRT can leap five times its own height? They can jump as high as 5ft in the air easily.🐾
