Despite its name, it’s believed the French bulldog originates in England. The Frenchie was the Nottingham lace makers and craftsmen’s favourite breed around the early 19th century. During the Industrial Revolution, English lace makers lost their jobs, many seek employment in Normandy, France and brought their dogs with them. The dogs then became popular in France. 🇫🇷

The English Bulldog is muscular, calm, confident, loving, self-sufficient and determined, originated in British Isles around the 13th century.
They are considered to be the UK’s national icon 🇬🇧. Did you know they were associated with the Britain's famous wartime prime minister, Sir Winston Churchill? Churchill was nicknamed the “British Bulldog” because of his unrelenting courage in the Second World War and his appearance resembled of a Bulldog.
