Border Collies are medium-sized, strong, agile, athletic, very energetic, smart and people-oriented. Collies love to run. They make excellent search and rescue dogs, as well as being brilliant watchdogs.

The JRT is a small, lean, bold, smart, happy, loyal, energetic dog with a strong desire to work. They love to dig and hike, and can be an excellent agility dog as well as being family companion.
