Shih Tzu 西施犬 also known as lion dog (獅子狗) in Chinese, originated from Tibet around the 7th century. They were developed by Tibetan lamas who offered them as gifts to the emperors of China.
Shih Tzus have long silky hair and rounded teddy bear face, they are small, sturdy, affectionate, happy, outgoing house dogs who thrive on human company.
